Charlevoix County Commission
Overview
The Charlevoix County Commission is the elected governing board of Charlevoix County. The Commission is responsible for setting policy, paying bills, and general (as opposed to day-to-day) oversight of the County’s overall goal and vision. Members are elected from districts of the county, which are decided with each census by population and geography. The commissioners then elect a Chair and Vice Chair.
Regular meetings of the County Commission are held twice each month unless a special meeting is called. In the event of a special meeting, the public must be given due notice prior to the meeting.
