Maude Ruth Zagata, 93

Maude Ruth Zagata passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the age of 93 at Luther Manor in Saginaw Michigan.

Maude was married to Theodore Hackenberg, who predeceased her. She later married Andrew H. Zagata, who also predeceased her. Surviving her are five children, and spouses Theodore (Ann) Hackenberg, Janet Hackenberg, John Hackenberg, Larry (Joyce) Zagata, Carol Zagata Miller, daughter-in-law, Karen (Carl) Howard, twelve grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Marion (Louis) Kopenkoskey and Helen Seamon.

Maude was predeceased by her brother, Clinton Hammond, her brother-in-law, Roger Seamon and her daughter-in-law, Marianne Hackenberg. Maude had a successful career with the Delta School of Nursing, Saginaw, MI. She also worked for Boyne Products, Boyne City, MI from which she retired in 1981. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. Loving memories of her will remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City with a Vigil Service being held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 am at St. Matthews Church in Boyne City with Fr. Duane Wachowiak serving as celebrant.
