New Manager Receives Warm Welcome

On Thursday night, people from across the city gathered at Edward Jones Investments on Lake Street to formally welcome the new manager, Ruth Skop.  Coming to us from East Jordan, Ruth has already settled in and made herself part of the Boyne City business community, and will proudly say so.

Members of City Government, the Chamber of Commerce, and coworkers gathered for the ribbon cutting.

Living in Horton Bay, Ruth is grateful for the shorter commute, and happy to be in Boyne City.  “Boyne City is always my home” Ruth said, addressing all present.  Both the drive and the location influenced her decision to move to managing the Boyne City office.

Prior to being with Edward Jones, Ruth worked with her husband in managing the several stores they own in Petoskey.  Together, they own Ben Franklin’s, Wood and Wicker, Scrapper’s Attic, and Mitchell Street Frameworks, all of which her husband is working to manage.  “I support my wife one hundred percent in what she is doing.  I couldn’t be happier for her” he says, standing proudly next to her throughout the event.

Topping off the festivities, members of the city government and Chamber of Commerce came for a ribbon cutting, along with refreshments being served from local businesses.  Ruth received a warm welcome from Boyne City, and plans to stay at this office for years to come.
