Advertising Opportunities
This section will feature local events for Thanksgiving such as the community dinner and Turkey Trot as well as the Holiday Open Houses and Santa Parade taking place the following day. If you're participating in the open house or parade, an ad here will let people know to look for your open house or parade float. If not, you could be sponsoring a great community event or letting those present know what you have to offer.
This section will feature tips on healthy living as well as general living for the senior citizens in our community. It will feature useful health tips and is a great opportunity to promote any health-based opportunities.
Each year, the Boyne Area Kiwanis Club sponsors an essay contest for 10th grade students in the area giving them the opportunity to direct a donation to a charity. Each essay is printed in full and photos of the awards ceremony are included. Sponsoring this black and white section is a great way to show the community that you care about the nonprofits and the achievements of the children.
The Gazette will be featuring tips and tricks to keep your home in top shape. Topics will include winterizing your home, heating tips, insulation tips, and more. For those in the Real Estate world, this is a great chance to market yourself as a local expert with a tip on making your home easier to sell. If you perform home improvement work, a special on a service or a list of services in general would go a long way to being remembered when someone has a mid-winter crisis!
In addition to using this section to highlight holiday events such as church services and the annual community Christmas Dinner, we will also be utilizing this section to allow business owners and community members to wish a happy holiday season to members of the local community.
We will be running letters to Santa from students at Boyne City Elementary School, Boyne Falls School, and Concord Academy Boyne. These are run with spelling and grammar as it is written by the young children and, as a result, they are always a hit with the parents and community. Sponsoring this section will result in high readership among a variety of audiences.
Being our final issue of the year, we will be running a section on resolutions for the new year. This will be in the form of a section in which businesses can sponsor resolutions at any size they wish. For example, a law firm might sponsor a "create a Last Will and Testament with my spouse to reduce confusion after our death" resolution. It is a valid resolution and yet promotes their firm with their logo and information clearly below.
