Three arrested for meth, heroin, suboxone

A Trooper from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Hometown Security Team stopped a vehicle on February 17, 2020 at approximately 6:15 p.m for a moving violation which resulted in the arrest of the driver and two passengers for possession of narcotics.
The traffic stop was on US-131 Hwy near Mitchell St. in Clam Lake Township. The driver, 26-year-old Kody Richard of Kalamazoo provided a false name to the trooper. A consent search resulted in Richard being arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possession of suboxone, possession of counterfeit bills, lying to a police officer, driving while license suspended, driving a vehicle without insurance, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.
Justin Jacobs, a 28-year-old passenger from Traverse City, was arrested for conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, lying to a police officer, and destruction of evidence.
Bethany Bousquette, a 32-year-old passenger from Traverse City, was arrested for conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and lying to a police officer.
Kody Richard, Justin Jacobs, and Bethany Bousquette were arraigned on February 18th in the 84th District Court of Wexford County.
Justin Jacobs’ bond was set at $50,000 – 10%, Bethan Bousquette’s bond was set at $150,000 – 10%, and Kody Richard’s bond was set at $250,000 – 10%.
