Snowmobile OWI, trespassing

On Sunday, February 2, 2020 at approximately 4:00 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gaylord Post came across a snowmobile that had crashed causing a ski to lodge under the railroad tracks in Bagley Township near N. Otsego Avenue. Two snowmobile operators were arrested for OWI with additional charges of railroad trespassing and failing to report a snowmobile crash. Troopers would like to remind the public that trespassing on railroad property is illegal and can be dangerous. The snowmobile was freed after several hours of work by a wrecker company. An inspection of the tracks will be completed by Lake State Railway for damage.
