Arrest for child abuse

 The Michigan State Police (MSP) Houghton Lake Post was contacted in August 2019 to investigate a child abuse complaint. The suspect allegedly disciplined a child, a relative, using a belt. The child’s sibling was present during the event.
The suspect, 29-year-old Ronald Timothy Bean of Falmouth, was interviewed. The report was turned over to the Missaukee County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
An arrest warrant was issued, and Bean was arrested on January 10, 202 for one count Child Abuse in the Presence of Another Child Third Degree, a felony punishable by two years. Bean was arraigned in the 84th District Court in Missaukee County and released on $1,000.00 bond. His next scheduled court appearance in on January 27, 2019.
