Great Lakes Center for the Arts hosts Great Lakes Leadership Forum

Join Bill Cobb, retired CEO of H&R Block, as the Great Lakes Center for the Arts launches its signature series—The Leadership Forum.

The event is scheduled for Thursday July 12.

“I have been to Google Events and Ted Talks, and I think that a conversation format—where the speakers and I can play off of one another and engage with the audience—is more enjoyable and interesting as an audience member,” said Cobb. “I think the audience Q&A will be the best part of this event.”

Cobb leads the distinguished panelists Cheryl Bachelder, former CEO of Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Dan Hesse, former CEO of the Sprint Corporation, and Dr. Edison Miyawaki, a neurologist and professor at Harvard Medical School, in an interview style discussion exploring social implications in their fields of expertise.

There will be an audience Q&A portion during each speaker’s segment where audience members are encouraged to ask questions or make comments.

Topics of discussion for the evening include: “Think Like a Man, Act Like a Lady, Work Like a Dog,” “Is a Digitally-Connected World a Better Place?” and “Alzheimer’s—The Who, What and When…”

The Great Lakes Center for the Arts is located at 800 Bay Harbor Drive in Bay Harbor.

After the event, there will be an opportunity to meet the speakers and ask additional questions in person.

Music for the evening by beloved Northern Michigan duo Prue & Schu.

All seats are $20, and tickets are still available online at greatlakescfa.org, or by calling the Box Office at (231) 439-2610.
