The latest information on court cases and filings in the courts and clerk office of Charlevoix County as they appear in the Wednesday March 28 edition of the Boyne City Gazette.

 

District Court
The following cases were recently heard in Charlevoix’s 90th District Court:
Harris Kent Grzech, 26 of Boyne City, retail fraud third degree To pay $425 in fines and costs.
Jamie Brooke Shiers, 42 of Boyne City, operating while intoxicated, second offense. To serve 365 days in jail with credit for one day served, 90 days on electronic monitor, 30 days community service in lieu of jail time, 334 days held in abeyance. To be placed on probation for two years, submit to PBT/drug testing as required, not to consume or possess alcohol or controlled substances. To pay $1,375 in fines and costs.
Richard James Filer II, 22 of Charlevoix, attempted interfering with electronic communications, domestic violence. To serve 365 days in jail with credit for 14 days served, 194 days held in abeyance. To be placed on probation for two years, submit to PBT/drug testing as required, not to consume or possess alcohol or controlled substances. To pay $875 in fines and costs.

Circuit Court
The following cases were recently heard in Charlevoix’s 33rd Circuit Court:
Kyle Richard Cronin, 26 of Kalkaska, attempted assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation. To serve 38 to 60 months in prison with credit for 112 days served, pay $898 in fines and costs.
Dylan Raymond Culvver, 18 of Boyne City, attempted unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle. To serve 90 days in jail with credit for 70 days served, pay $548 in fines and costs, be placed on probation for nine months.
