Gather the family from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. June 30th for the 7th annual Art in the Garden Festival at Otsego County’s beautiful Demonstration Gardens and Conservation Forest off Livingston Boulevard in Gaylord.
Art in the Garden is a celebration of nature and art. This conservation-based festival event offers workshops for both kids and adults.
See live raptors and learn about their ecology in a very special “Wings of Wonder” program.
Learn about the animals of northern Michigan, how to make a “bee hotel” and how to craft your own personal hiking stick.
Create one-of-a-kind greeting cards from recycled paper mixed with wildflower seeds—or a bird house made from gourds.
Kids can take an outdoor nature hike, learn to identify animal tracks and create nature crafts.
Everyone can take a tour of the native plant garden, participate in a scavenger hunt, or sit back and relax to the musical stylings from some of Michigan’s finest bands.
The seventh annual Art in the Garden Festival features Northern Michigan artists and their work for display and sale, from paintings to woodcarvings, to photography and jewelry.
The day will be full of art, music, food, fun—and education in this celebration of nature and art.
Admission is free—donations to continue programs at the Otsego Conservation District are appreciated.
The event is supported by the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, and Art in the Loft, the Otsego Wildlife Legacy Society and many generous community donors.
