Antrim, Charlevoix Relay for Life June 23-24

The Annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life event for Antrim & Charlevoix Counties will be held on Saturday & Sunday June 2324.

Relay is a 24 hour event and will take place from 10 AM Saturday until 10 AM Sunday.

This year’s Relay schedule is full of fun activities, great entertainment, and ceremonies to celebrate cancer survivors & caregivers and honor and remember those whom have lost their battle.

This year’s theme is Carnival for a Cause and each participating team will have a Carnival themed game or games where participants can win prizes.

In addition there will be inflatable games like bounce houses and slides.

Tommy Tropic headlines this year’s entertainment with other live performances, DJ’s and karaoke scheduled throughout the event.

The survivor/caregiver ceremony and community potluck begin at 6 PM Saturday and an outdoor movie with free pizza closes out Day 1at Dusk. Sunday morning begins with a pancake breakfast before closing ceremonies.

All are invited to attend and there is no charge for admission, the community potluck, pizza & a movie or the pancake breakfast.

Teams will be fundraising by charging a very nominal fee to participate in the games for prizes and for the inflatable’s.

The 2018 Relay for Life combines teams and participants from both Antrim and Charlevoix counties.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s most successful fundraiser and the organization’s signature event.

Relays serve to increase awareness, recognize and celebrate survivors and caregivers, remember those who lost the cancer battle, and encourage grassroots involvement in the fight against cancer.

The funds raised play a significant role in helping accomplish many of the Society’s recent accomplishments.
