US-131 reconstruction south of Boyne Falls starts Monday March 14

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be reconstructing 6.4 miles of US-131 from the M-32 intersection north to Boyne Falls. The project also will include culvert, guardrail, and curb and gutter replacements. Tree removal in advance of roadwork will begin March 14; construction is scheduled to beginMarch 28.

Reminder: MDOT will host a public meeting to review this project from 4-5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 21, at the Boyne Valley Township Hall, 2489 Railroad St., in Boyne Falls.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This work will require lane shifts and closures, and daytime flag control.
