North Lake Street in Boyne City between State and Vogel Streets will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. to noon, weather permitting, on Friday, Nov. 4.

A detour route is being established using North Park Street.

All local businesses along this portion of North Lake Street will remain open during construction although access may be limited to one direction.

The road is expected to be fully reopened to traffic Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, North Street adjacent to Veteran’s Park and west of North Lake Street will also be partially paved.

The road is being closed to thru traffic to compete the work associated with the scheduled installation of utility services for the voter approved City Facilities building now under construction.

The new building is progressing well and is expected to be completed and occupied in July 2017.

Once the new building is occupied the remaining old building currently housing the Boyne City Fire and Police Departments will be demolished.
