Lifts Visitor Restriction Due to Influenza
Petoskey, MI – The visitor restriction at McLaren Northern Michigan hospital in Petoskey was lifted as of 10 a.m. on May 2, 2016. The visitor restriction was implemented to protect patients and visitors due to a rise in influenza cases.
For the health and safety of patients, visitors, and employees, McLaren Northern Michigan is encouraging everyone to practice quality hand hygiene when entering and leaving the hospital.
Due to a sudden increase of influenza and flu-related illness, McLaren Northern Michigan hospital in Petoskey is implementing an Influenza Visitor Restriction to protect our patients and visitors.
McLaren Northern Michigan is limiting visitor access to a patient’s immediate family only that is 18 years of age and older.
All visitors are required to wear a mask and use quality hand-hygiene when entering and leaving the hospital.
McLaren Northern Michigan is monitoring the influenza cases and is being proactive to keep patients and colleagues healthy.
