Florida man survives rollover crash on Beaver Island

At approximately 1341 hours, on Thursday July 7, the Charlevoix County Sheriff’s office on Beaver Island were dispatched to the area of Sloptown road near King’s highway for a single vehicle rollover accident.

Driver of the vehicle, Tre’ Daniel Wilson, of Florida, was traveling west on Sloptown road in a 1975 Jeep when he lost control of the vehicle hitting the edge of the road causing him to go airborne and exit the vehicle.

The vehicle rolled five times after the driver exited.

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt.

Tre’ Wilson was transported to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for several lacerations and was treated there.

Speed and Alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the accident.
