Builders and contractors in northern Michigan will be lining up to interview and hire high school juniors and seniors during the Construction and Building Industry Job Fair on Monday April 25, at the Emmet County Fairgrounds.
The 1-2:30 p.m. event is hosted by Char-Em ISD, Greater Michigan Construction Academy, Home Builders Association of Northern Michigan, Industrial Arts Institute and Preston Feathers Building Centers.
“Builders and contractors in northern Michigan are searching for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in construction and looking for summer employment,” said Kelly Johnson, Char-Em ISD Career/College Readiness Specialist. “This job fair is a great opportunity to connect students who are interested in construction with experts already in that field.”
The Construction and Building Industry Job Fair gives students an opportunity to network with area builders and contractors, obtain job and internship information, receive an on-site interview, and accept summer employment that could lead to a full-time career.
Students interested in attending should contact their school counselor or Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org or (231) 582-8070.
