Notice is hereby given that the City of Boyne City will receive sealed Bids for the work which includes the following:
The project includes construction of a new City Hall and Emergency Service Facilities.
Office Areas, Police and EMS Garages approximately 28,335 s.f. (two story), Fire Apparatus Bays approximately 8276 s.f. (one story) to be completed in phases. Work includes all trades and consists of the following:
1. Project includes all associated demolition of existing structures, site work, excavating, paving and utilities.
2. Structure is Concrete footings, CMU bearing and non-bearing walls; steel structural frame and steel joist; wood framing and wood trusses.
3. Complete Fire Suppression, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems are included.
It is the intent of the Owner after receipt of bids to review available funding and proceed with construction pending approval.
TYPES OF BIDS REQUIRED
This project will be constructed under a single prime contract with Bids received on a lump sum basis. THIS PROJECT IS NOT PREVAILING WAGE. Contractors are encouraged to seek out and utilize local sub-contractors; a list of interested contractors shall be maintained by the architect and included in the bid documents.

All Bids received at such place, date and time will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after such time will be returned to the respective Bidder, unopened. Bidders submitting Bids will be informed of the results of all the Bid proposals following award of all contracts.

EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS
Complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained by Bidders on or after Monday, January 25, 2016 from Traverse Reproduction & Supply, 1373 Barlow St., Traverse City, MI, for actual cost of printing and shipping as required.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security, which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the highest combination of the Base Bid plus all requested ADD Alternates, in the required form and submitted in accord with the AIA INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
Bidders to whom award of a Contract is under consideration shall furnish and pay for an acceptable Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond and Supply Bond in a penal sum of 100% of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract in accord with the AIA INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
MODIFICATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF BID
A bid may not be modified, withdrawn or canceled for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after
the time and date designated for receipt of Bids.
A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting for General Contractors and Site Contractors shall take
place on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Boyne City – City Hall, 319 North
Lake Street, MI 49712
The City of Boyne City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
