The Boyne Appétit! Initiative is moving ahead in a big way with 18 participants offering specials during Restaurant Week, June 6-12.

“This is a fabulous way to kick off a great summer season of food, fun, family and friends,” said organizer and chair of the committee, Cindy Boal Janssens.

“It gives people a chance to try new restaurants and delicious food products.”

Eateries and food retailers in the Boyne City area are preparing amazing menu specials and offers.

“As a collection of small communities, we know that visitors appreciate the world class dining options, food retailers, wine purveyors, and the fabulous Farmer’s Market that we have,” Janssens said. “We also have three new establishments opening this summer and fall.”

She added, “We believe we can capitalize on this and become the dining destination north of Traverse City,”

Most participating restaurants are offering two-for-one prix fixe meals for under $35 while delis, sandwich shops and food retailers are offering their own deals.
