The events are paired together this year, and will include all the popular events like the dachsie derby starting at 3 p.m. and a lineup of 13 different bands.

“This is the second WoofStock, but it’s about the 15th annual Poochfest,” said Charlevoix Area Humane Society executive director, Scott MacKenzie. “We’ve got all the activities that folks are used to at Poochfest. Including the hand me down hound and the Frisbee toss competition.”

The following events and favorites are scheduled for the return of the events this year:

• Dachsie derby

• Wiener dog races

• King and queen rescue dogs

• Most obedient dog

• Least obedient dog

• A lineup of 13 bands

• Wine tasting with WoofStock

“It’s fun, they can bring their dog as long as they are pet friendly dogs,” said MacKenzie.

“There are not a lot of other opportunities to bring dogs to public events, and this is one that they can.”

All proceeds from the day packed with events go to support the mission of the Charlevoix Area Humane Society.

Pet friendly dogs are welcome to the day’s events, all dogs must be on leashes and up to date with shots.

“We don’t want anybody to be an irresponsible pet owner and getting other dogs sick,” MacKenzie said.
