What’s New at Boyne Highlands and Boyne Mountain for the 2015/16 Winter Season
This winter, Boyne Highlands Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort are rolling out the first phase of enhanced Boyne Low-E fan guns that further increase efficiency and improve snow quality with a new nozzle design.
This cutting edge technology is expected to be Boyne’s next snowmaking breakthrough, potentially slashing energy usage in half and making the modified Boyne Low-E fan guns up to 80% more efficient than standard snow guns.
The first phase of this roll-out includes 42 snow guns to be tested on two popular slopes—Hemlock at Boyne Mountain and Challenger at Boyne Highlands.
The Boyne Low-E fan gun, with its marginal temperature snowmaking capability and unsurpassed quality, has allowed Boyne to offer seasons spanning November to April the past three years.
The resorts are proud to be among 22 unique and legendary ski areas across North America that skiers and snowboarders can access this season with the new and revolutionary M.A.X. Pass.
The M.A.X. Pass provides five days at each participating ski area for a total of 110 days on the slopes and no blackout dates.
BOYNE Gold passholders are able to purchase the M.A.X. Pass at significantly discounted rates. For complete details, visit www.themaxpass.com.
For the 2015/16 season, Boyne Highlands is hosting a women’s only ski clinic with former U.S. ski team member Lisa Densmore, welcomes a new Head Coach for BOYNE Flyers and Team Elite, and is adding ski racing training opportunities, park features, and new equipment.
At Boyne Mountain, the 2015/16 season brings the First Class Lesson Program, additional lift hours for the Ramshead chairlift, as well as an expanded fat tire snow biking trail, new rental equipment, and a seasonal treatment at Solace Spa.

Three Lessons are Always Better than One
Boyne Mountain’s new First Class Lesson Program is quite possibly the best introduction for beginner skiers, and certainly the best value.
Participants begin with a thorough overview of skiing including learning about equipment and ski terrain, then partake in six hours of on-snow instruction, all with the same instructor, spread over two days.
And since practice makes perfect, participants receive complimentary ski rental for the remainder of the season, a 15/16 BOYNE Frequent Skier/Rider Card, plus shiny and new custom fitted HEAD ski boots—all compliments of Boyne Mountain and supporting the goal to make a lifelong skier out of every person that is interested in learning.
In total, the program package is valued at over $1,000 and offered for only $299. Each session is limited to six adults and open to ages 18 years and up.
