Charlevoix: Boulder Park Terrace improvements finished; open house planned

Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix will host an open house to feature its newly-completed improvements.

The community is encouraged to come and see the recent renovation.

“The renovation will allow for the long-term residents and the rehabilitation patients to have separate wings of the facility,” stated Deb Saur-MacKenzie, Executive Director of Boulder Park Terrace. “There will be less traffic in the long-term residents area, making it feel more like home and peaceful and our rehabilitation patients can have a more clinic setting.”

Boulder Park Terrace offers both long-term care and a sub-acute rehabilitation program.

With the recent addition, Boulder Park Terrace has added 9 additional beds and 7 private rooms with bathroom.

The gym is also expanded for both rehab patients and long-term residents.

A new entrance and parking lot will be located at 14673 West Garfield Ave. for Sub-Acute Rehabilitation.

The original entrance at 14676 West Upright St. will be used for long-term care patients and visitors.

“We hope that with the new renovation and added beds and rooms we will be able to hire at least two more employees,” stated Saur-MacKenzie. “We welcome the public to come and see the remarkable changes that have been made, and understand the importance of the care we provide.”

The open house is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 17.
