Anyone interested in learning more—or giving their opinion—on the issue of a proposed dog park in Boyne City is encouraged to attend a public meeting on the matter during the 7 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 11 Boyne City Commission Meeting at Boyne City Hall, 319 North Lake St.

Currently proposed is a plan that could utilize two city property parcels at the North Boyne Department of Public Works lot.

The lots are on the north and south sides of Ridge Street in between Escape and Addis streets.

The Boyne City Parks and Recreation Committee has reviewed the location—recommended by the Boyne City Dog Park Subcommittee—and seeks public input during tonight’s meeting.

The dog park subcommittee will give its presentation to the Boyne City Board of Commissioners in hopes of securing a location for the proposed park.

If you cannot attend the meeting, you may send your comments to info@boynecity.com or by phone at (231) 582-6597.Pictured is a graphic representation of what a Boyne City dog park could look like.
