“It’s an evening of Broadway numbers, a variety show of Broadway hits,” said Erin Zucker, Music Director. “We start with dinner at the commons at 6’0’clock. followed by a 90-minute Broadway show with an intermission.”
The show will include a Beatles medley to commemorate their 50th anniversary of the ‘British Invasion’ along with hits from Frozen, Marry Poppins, Wicked and more.
Tickets are still available, $25 a piece for the dinner and show and according to Michael Houser, drama director, there are currently not many tickets left.
“There are around 70 students this year,” Houser said. “We are talking both tech crew and sound stage and everybody, there will be at least 70 students involved this year.”
Brothers Xander and Zach Napont will be the student hosts of the show; Xander is an eighth-grader who is helping with the show to be able to perform with Zach, a senior in one of his last performances.
“It’s just a fabulous performance with high energy,” Zucker said. “Lots of songs that they know, old and new, and the kids have just been putting a lot of great work into it and it’s well-received every year—it’s a town favorite.”
Directors of the show, not previously mentioned, are Jen Houser, the costume director and Steve Zucker, the sound tech director.
Tickets may be purchased from any cast member or at Local Flavor, 125 Water St. in Boyne City.
