These Boyne City Veterans Park pavilion design concepts were presented to the public by Environment Architects of Traverse City on the final day of a three-day planning session on Tuesday Dec. 17 at the Boyne District Library. The planning sessions were intended to help determine the direction of a proposal to turn the pavilion into a multi-use facility that could include an enclosure, demonstration kitchen and space for year-round farmers market use. Concept One (pictured at top) is estimated at nearly $350,000 and would be the lowest impact design with facade improvements, bathroom upgrades and the creation of an enclosed space. Concept Two (at center) is estimated at $670,000 and is shown with a new roof and an addition in addition to similar upgrades included in Concept One. Concept Three (directly above) is estimated at approximately a million dollars. It shows the pavilion in a new location, closer to the water and with a similar design as Concept Two.
