This is a call, going out to every man who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
Brothers, the enemy is upon us!
The “roaring lion” has pounced (1 Peter 5:8-9) and he seeks to sift the men of God as wheat (Luke 2:21).
Our adversary, Satan, has waged a full-out terrorist attack on this great nation, seeking to steal our goodness, our freedom, our families, and our futures!
He seeks to kill our spirit, our faith, and our joy!
And he seeks to destroy our dreams, our hopes, and our will to fight back! (John 10:10)
Sadly, the enemy has been able to discretely invade our society without much notice – and little resistance.
He and his massive army of demons have strategically plotted to destroy the moral fiber of our homeland – one man at a time – one family after another.
Their method has been to whisper perversions and deceptions into the minds of all men, slowly breaking down our defenses by familiarizing us with sexual immorality, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dessentions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like (Gal 5:19-21)
Through our own media, the enemy has drawn us away from our God and his ways, slowly working his twisted thinking into the minds of our people, until what we once saw as horrible and disgusting sinfulness is now seen as acceptable or at least tolerable.
Heaven knows we wouldn’t want to be “politically incorrect” by speaking out against such perversions of our values.
We, as the warriors in God’s army, have left the fortress unguarded.
We have left our battle stations to sit on our couches and allow the enemy to fill our eyes and ears with the filth that we pay to have pumped into our homes.
We have traded our swords for remote controls, a computer mouse, or a game controller, allowing countless hours of our lives to ebb away, while the enemy slips quietly past our defenses.
As the spiritual leaders of our families – and our country – we have become too tolerant, complacent, even indifferent to the attack.
Somehow, we imagine that the battle is not ours, that the responsibility should be shouldered by our pastors, teachers, and our country’s leaders.
We think the problem is too big for any of us to make a difference, so we throw up a few prayers and feel we’ve done the best we can do.
And this is exactly how the enemy has hoped we would respond!
Buf if we sit idly on the sidelines, Satan will continue to attack, destroying our country one family at a time.
Brothers in Christ, it’s time to prepare for a great battle.
We need to repair the city gates, strengthen the walls, and sharpen our swords!
For too long our spiritual armor (Eph 6:10-18) has lay rusting in a dark corner.
We must not be like sheep led to the slaughter; we must lead our families – and our country – into victory!
It is our calling as mighty men of God to facilitate positive change in this nation!
And there are steps to take to get us there.
First, we must each examine our own lives – by God’s standards.
We have to give up every excuse we use to justify our shortcomings, and make a choice to change!
Not to change our wives, our children, or anyone else – just us.
We must fully repent, confess our sins, and receive the clensing of our spirit and mind that only God can bring (1 John 1:9)
To know the perfect will of God, we need to immerse ourselves in his word – the Bible – every day (even if for only 20 minutes each day.)
Our “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
Our country direly needs intercession.
To meed this need we must fast and pray.
Together we can break the strongholds of the enemy and begin our counterattack.
To become stronger we must exercise our faith.
We do this by being obedient to the word of God.
He calls us to love him with all we are and all we have (Matthew 22:37)
We are commanded to faithfully (and joyfully) pay our tithes. (Mal 3:8-10/2 Cor 9:7)
We must rach out to the lost (Matt 28:19-20), meet the needs of the poor, the sick, and the imprisoned (Matt 25:34-40), and do it all with an attitude of gratefulness and thankfulness.
Above all, we should always have the praises of our God on our lips (Heb 13:15), because our God inhabits the praises of his people (Psalm 22:3)
It’s time to rise up together and defeat our enemy!
God will be with us in our battle! (Isaiah 41:10)
Let us be the spiritual leaders of our families, our churches, our city, and our country!
No more bowing down to the idols that the enemy has erected before us.
Let us teach our children – through our example – that we will not sit idly by as victims.
We are not victims – we are victorious through Christ Jesus!
We must be bold as lions (Prov. 28:1) taking every thought into capturity (2 Cor 10:3-5), and putting on the full armor of God, and pushing the enemy out of our lives.
