Carmen L. “Tootie” Hall, age 79 of Harbor Springs, died September 16, 2011 at the Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.[private]
Tootie was born on September 26, 1931 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Carmen and Lydia (St. Clair) Pearson and was raised in Flint. While she was a Junior in high school, her family moved to Petoskey and she graduated from the Petoskey High School in the Class of 1949.
On June 16, 1951, Tootie married Clinton “Bee” Hall in Petoskey and together they made their home in Petoskey and then Harbor Springs. She went to work as a private housekeeper and cleaning cottages on Harbor Point and did so until she retired. Clinton preceded her in death on February 7, 2006.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Tootie is survived by 6 children, Jean (Chip) Radle of Harbor Springs, Mike (Debbie) Hall of Alanson, Roy (Nancy) Hall of Harbor Springs, Russell (April) Hall of Harbor Springs, Susan (Fritz Grebe) Hall of Harbor Springs, and David (Merilee) Hall of Pickford; 11 grandchildren, Heidi (David) Foxworthy, Jeff (Katie) Radle, Montana, Justin, Scott, Jodi and Ashley Hall, Kaycee (Stephen) Garrod, and Jennifer, Clinton, and Lydia Hall; 7 great grandchildren, Kimberly, Christian, and Heather Foxworthy, Logan, MacKenzie, and Eden Radle, and Dominic Hall; an aunt, Alberta Frazier of Fenton, MI; an uncle, Larry (Wilma) St. Clair of Flint; 2 brothers, Leon (Mary) Pearson and Rusty (Betty) Pearson; sister-in-lay, Barbara (Louis) Fochtman; and brother-in-law, Clarence “Bud” Hall; and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 11:00am at the Stutsmansville Chapel in Harbor Springs. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery of Petoskey.
