Heather LaPointe

Heather LaPointe, 32, of Boyne City

Heather (Hofbauer) LaPointe, age 32 of Boyne City went to be with her heavenly Father Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.
Heather was born on May 3, 1978 in Petoskey the daughter of Henry and Cindy Hofbauer.  She graduated from Harbor Springs High School and attended Northern Michigan University.  She loved growing her garden and sharing the harvest with others.  Heather enjoyed the outdoors; fishing with her husband and watching her children grow. 

She was an active member of Walloon Lake Community Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school.  She found peace in reading her bible and sharing what she learned; encouraging everyone around her, even when they were trying to encourage her.

Heather is survived by her husband David; children Michael and Vivian; parents Henry and Cindy Hofbauer of Fairview formerly of Harbor Springs; sister Mary (Sergio Morado) Hofbauer of Chicago; brother Henry Hofbauer of Petoskey; mother-in-law Eva (Brian) Sobleski-Russell of Marquette; father-in-law David LaPointe II of Petoskey; sister-in-laws Katelin Russell and Michelle Heitman of Marquette; many aunts, uncles, cousins; special friends Missy Duncan, Penny Cash and all of her Walloon Lake Community Church Family.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, January 17, 2011 at Walloon Lake Community Church with a gathering of family and friends being held from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Pastor Jeff Ellis will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to be directed to the LaPointe Children’s Scholarship Fund, 417 Elm Street Boyne City, MI 49712.
